Gossip Girls

I just saw the new Gossip Girls episode... <

I love Chuck and Blair so much.

I only recently got into the show (I finished watching the first season about three days after it came out on DVD) and I'm loving it more and more. Yay for new obsessions, I suppose. I think it's the best high school Drama I've ever seen - and unfortunately I've seen my fair share. I think it's Blair (and a bit Chuck) that make it something special, and I hope they never change her too much.

I love that in the new episode the writers actually have Chuck explain why they can't have Chuck and Blair actually be together - his line about "Chuck and Blair go to the movies, Chuck and Blair hold hands... Yeah, right." and then pointing out that the chase is actually what they both enjoy... I felt like it was the writers saying to us "You love this. You think you want them to be together, but you actually just want to want them to be together." And it's true. I don't really want to see them dating or anything - I just want to see them tip toe around each other. It's always that way with tv-couples, and most shows ruin it by having people get together. It's like Jim and Pam... Bored now. I'm just sitting around waiting for them to break up so I can care about them again.

How can anyone watch a show where the main relationship actually happens, and then continue to feel satisfied by their storyline?

On another note, midterms are over! I did really well on three of them but I completely bombed the last. Oh well, can't have everything I suppose.

Agreed! I think the chase is definitely the essence of Blair/Chuck, but still, the excessive amount of chasing is growing frustrating! Yeah, so I really don't know what I want to happen...I am tired of the constant let downs, but I don't want the chase to end either.

Oh, I know. Sometimes I get so frustrated that I throw things at the TV... I kind of think they might both stop chasing entirely for a bit - or maybe I'm completely wrong.
